I dunno, I guess people like seeing all those women in tight leather outfits. They do all start blending in, and I’d say it depends on the movie we’re talking about as to whether or not they’re actual characters underneath the shiny suit. Alice in Resident Evil, for example, is definitely not. I’m more interested in characters like Angelina Jolie’s Salt, Milla Jovovich in 5th Element, and Gina Davis in The Long Kiss Goodnight.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say the leather suit females are necessarily being objectified any worse than their male counterparts. Every superhero/comic book movie has both men and women strutting around in ridiculous outfits. Everyone is being sexualized.
